Optimized Rib Cage, Cinema 4D, 2024

A rib cage modeled in Cinema 4D. First a very high-poly version was sculpted, a normal map created from it, and then baked onto a low poly version, giving it a similar amount of detail with a fraction of polygon and therefore RAM usage.

This poser is designed for a Slovenian cultural exhibit, highlighting the cultural significance of the olm, a fully-aquatic cave salamander native to the region. All assets were sculpted in ZBrush and materials were added in Cinema 4D. Finally, it was rendered in RedShift and composited in Procreate and Illustrator.
